2021 was a successful year for BJB

POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT INALL BUSINESS AREAS

In line with the overall growth, all of BJB's business segments showed positive development: The largest business area“Technology for Light” (LED-related products)was concluded with a 33% increase in 2021over the previous year. "Light for Appliances"(lighting of home appliances) - with 23%. The traditional business "Bridge to Light" (lampsockets and bases) grew by 6%.

USA AND CHINA - THEBIGGEST CUSTOMERS

The family business based in Arnsberg generated 85% of its sales outside of Germanyin fiscal year 2021. The USA was the company's largest export market. In addition, there was an exceptional increase in deliveries to China. "Our development in China is particularly pleasing," says Managing Director PhilippHenrici. "With a 60% increase in sales, the country was one of BJB's fastest-growing markets in 2021. In addition, China is now our largest foreign buyer of LED products."

SUPPLY SHORTFALLS OVERCOME

BJB responded early to the problems causedby the COVID-19 pandemic. With proactive work, the family-owned company overcame effects of the logistics crisis in global container traffic and general supply chain problems. As aresult, delivery failures were avoided and customer confidence was strengthened.

BJB expects further growth in 2022. Managing Director Philipp Henrici: “Business in the first weeks of the new year has started promisingly and we will continue our growth strategy.”
